OnyxBlock Loss Prevention Additive

Blackstone’s proprietary OnyxBlock product is a blend of 5 LCM materials that exploits the particle packing theory to plug fractures.   OnyxBlock effectively plugs fractures as soon as they develop—a method called hoop-stressing.  Here, the larger particles bind to form a bridge while the smaller particles fill the rest of the gaps effectively plugging the fracture tip and forming a solid structure at the fracture mouth.
